About the experience

What will I experience

At NYC Jewelry Lab, you’ll step into a hands-on studio dedicated to the art of jewelry-making. Guided by master goldsmith Carolina Iwanow, you’ll transform raw metal into original, wearable pieces—your hands becoming the tools of expression, and each piece telling a story only you can create.

Benefits of this experience

By participating in this experience, you train your mind to stay present and precise—each step in the jewelry-making process demands deep focus and uninterrupted attention.

Incorporation in life

You can incorporate learnings by bringing the same focused attention to daily tasks—slowing down, minimizing distractions, and moving through each step with care.

About the destination

Tucked away in Brooklyn, NYC Jewelry Lab is a quiet, focused space dedicated to the mindful art of jewelry-making. It’s more than a studio—it’s a sanctuary for hands-on creation, where metal, fire, and form are explored with precision and care. In this space, attention slows, craft deepens, and your hands become instruments of focus and expression.

The Lab is led by Carolina Iwanow, an accomplished artist whose journey spans metalsmithing, design, sculpture, photography, music, and more. Trained under master jewelers in Argentina and steeped in European and folkloric silversmithing traditions, Carolina brings over three decades of experience designing for global fashion brands and mentoring the next generation of artisans. Her work has been exhibited internationally, and her presence in the studio is both grounding and inspiring.

From raw material to refined object, NYC Jewelry Lab invites you to experience the discipline of detail, the rhythm of making, and the quiet joy of shaping beauty by hand. As a destination, it offers not only skill-building, but a chance to reconnect with the focused, creative self often lost in everyday life.
