About the specialist

Akshay T S is a distinguished master of Kalaripayattu, an ancient martial art form from Kerala, India. Beginning his training at the young age of 12, Akshay has studied under the tutelage of respected gurus at the Hindustan Kalari Sangam in Kozhikode and Kalarigram in Pondicherry. Over the years, he has evolved from a devoted student to a revered teacher, sharing his profound skills with a wide audience both in India and internationally.

In this 45-minute introductory Kalaripayattu session, you will start with Kalarivandanam to honor the practice's traditions.

You will explore basic Chuvadukal (leg stances) for stability, followed by Vadivukal (animal postures) to enhance agility. The session concludes with an introduction to Kalukal (leg swings) for improved coordination.
