Dr. Mahesh integrates the strong physical movement of Kalaripayattu with the practice of breath from the Siddha tradition to form his popular offering called Nalludal. It is a unique Kalari-based Health & Fitness program which helps in raising the practitioner's physical and mental wellbeing by boosting their level of confidence.
The regular practise of Nalludal helps the practitioner by enhancing vital capacity and stamina and builds strength thereby leading to a stress free life. This leads to a mental state of readiness, resilience, and focus that enables individuals to overcome challenges and build fearlessness, thereby leading to creation of a warrior mindset.
The practice involves a set of physical movements & breathing exercises to be done for about 30 minutes per day, ideally early in the morning as part of one’s daily morning routine
Mahesh Gurukkal is the son of a Legendary Kalari master and Sidha Expert. He was initiated into Kalaripayattu at a very young age as his family had deep roots in Kalaripayattu. He is a fifth-generation martial artist. He is an expert in Kalaripayattu, Siddha Medicine, Vastu Shastra, and Tantric practices and has authored a few books on them.
Dhanurveda, a Sanskrit treatise on warfare and archery, attributed either to Bhrigu or Vishvamitra or Bharadwaja, is traditionally regarded as one among the four upavedas to Vedas.
Kalaripayattu, as recognised by the Dhanurveda, improves physical fitness, mental discipline, self-defence proficiency, stress management for overall wellbeing.
